Ok, this one was brought to my attention a couple months ago, and yes - its obviously very old, but wait til you hear it. these guys were part of the movement back then that brought us to where we are today. i've heard that they are called "christian music", but that's up to your discretion.

personally? brilliant and right along the lines of what i'm always trying to share with everyone. enjoy and share with others!

quick update - i have a brilliant new album from Mr. President - the best album i've heard in 2011 other than Charles Bradly and Opensouls. it's rar'd and ready. i'm having a bit of trouble upping it with RS the past few days - but i promise it will happen this weekend.

Charles Bradley - No Time For Dreaming (2011)

wow, that didn't take forever to get back here hey? i have a few new ones i need to post, and i've had no time to do so. i've again taken a long time to do this, and if there are still any followers of the page, i apologize and hope you come and enjoy the new music.

now, here's Charles Bradley. this ultra-talent is in a groove along the like of Roy Ayers and Curtis Mayfield, but with a good James Brown-esque beat. enjoy. he's amazing.

Los Charly's Orchestra - Chicano Disco Funk (2010)

Coming into contact with this album has brought my whole site into place. The funk/soul and disco sounds coming from this crew are simply epic. This is right at the top of the albums i've posted; the epitome of what i'm trying to share with everyone. It's just simply brilliant. Take it, enjoy it, rip it, share it, and listen to it loud.

New Cool Collective Big Band (2010)

here's the big band i was talking about. this is pretty great stuff. i have another called "the funky muchachos" to try and get up today if i can yet. they aren't quite "big band" but they are instrumentally brilliant; doing a few covers of classic funk music. i'm listening to them for the first time right now so i will try and post them today. in the meantime, enjoy one and all !!
