I've posted Chris Joss in the past, and because i enjoy him and his offbeat instrumental work, i've decided to post more. i've now listened to this album 3 straight times and it's funky beats and almost East Indian-esque type sounds in some of the songs - i know you all will enjoy it too.

Los Charly's Orchestra - Chicano Disco Funk (2010)

Coming into contact with this album has brought my whole site into place. The funk/soul and disco sounds coming from this crew are simply epic. New Cool Collective Big Band (2010)

here's the big band i was talking about. this is pretty great stuff. i have another called "the funky muchachos" to try and get up today if i can yet. they aren't quite "big band" but they are instrumentally brilliant; doing a few covers of classic funk music. i'm listening to them for the first time right now so i will try and post them today. in the meantime, enjoy one and all !!

The Haggis Horns - Keep On Movin' (2010)

The Haggis Horns are back and so am I with 4 new goodies. This one is in line with many others here, in the funk soul ways as is Diesler's 'Tie Breakers'. However the 3rd and 4th are something different. There are 3 albums from 'The Budos Band' and i have 'II' and 'III' to put up. Those are the names of their albums and if you want to hear some serious horn section work at it's best, these 2 from The Budos Band are highly recommended. All coming!!

The Sound Stylistics - Play Deep Funk (2007)

I'm excited about these 4, but moreso for the next 2 in general. The Sound Stylistics play the great soul funk i love, but they do it instrumental style. I can't seem to stop listening to them. I have both this one and the next one in my car right now, and have so for a couple of months. This music doesn't seem to want to leave my playlist. besides, it's just that good.
